A busy week for Caddie Golf Tours that has involved the drafting of six Scottish Golf Tours for golfers from as far afield as Sweden (2 groups), New York, Chicago, Germany and our close neighbours England, going to all parts of Scotland here at the Home of Golf.

A refreshing and subtle change seems to be taking place with our overseas visitors, noticed through these last couple of seasons, and it is showing itself through how many are going directly to the Highlands of Scotland. They are either passing on St. Andrews completely or using the legendary golfing mecca as their final destination which allows them to play on many of the historic links golf courses in the north of the country. Take your pick from the following: Royal Dornoch, Nairn, Brora, Tain, and the newly established Castle Stuart Golf Links which are all in the Inverness area, then just a wee bit south, still on the East Coast, we have Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Fraserburgh, Murcar and the recently opened Trump Links.…

October Old Course Tee Times

Image
As the daylight hours shorten all too quickly here in St. Andrews so do the available hours to golf upon the Old Course. The following 'link' to the officially published Old Course tee times for Wednesday 23rd October shows the first drive, from the 1st tee, will be struck at 08.00am and the last drive at 13.20pm.

This is still a good time to come and golf in St. Andrews and Scotland, as can be seen from the photograph taken last week the sun does shine at the Home of Golf, you take what you get and play through what is given to you.

The prices on the Old Course drop by 50 British Pounds during the last couple of weeks in October and the hotels in the town offer some super stay & play packages. Talk to Caddie Golf Tours for more information about October golf deals in St. Andrews. FORE!

The Team at Caddie Golf Tours

Image
Caddie Golf Tours are preparing for 2014 and beyond with the addition of backroom support, now official, from Lorna Boyne and Andrew Thomson.

My beloved wife Lorna's support and professional advice, through the initial years of Caddie Golf Tours, has proved invaluable and now moving into our 8th year we are in a position to build upon the momentum arrived through that hard work.

The arrival of Andrew Thomson, my long suffering golf partner, into the Caddie Golf Tours fold has been long overdue and his golfing knowledge of Scotland and business acumen will be a great asset.

The team at Caddie Golf Tours will continue to promote the Home of Golf, Scotland, to our overseas golfers with enthusiasm and optimism. We look forward to seeing you tee up the wee white golf ball on our great golf courses...FORE!
