Approach to 1st green Old Course St. Andrews.  The annual golf match between the St. Andrews Caddies and the staff from the Links Trust, who run the massive golf operation here in St. Andrews, continued last Thursday. The caddies still smarting from defeat last December 2013, their first setback in over 8 years, were out for revenge. the new St. Andrews Links Trust web site has been released onto the internet.  http://www.standrews.org.uk/ The re-branding of the signage on the courses, shuttle carts, clothing etc with Black & Gold that began last year continues throughout the site.   The revamped iconic 1st tee box on the Old Course It looks clean, shiny & new.  The important thing is the content and from my initial click through all your questions about golf in St. Andrews will be answered. The site has a good simple and concise layout that is easily followed. Good touch to get the 2014 Ryder Cup Captain, Paul McGinley, to do a wee video promotion of the Old Course. The 2010 annual Dod Stewart Memorial Trophy will be played between the Caddies and the Links Trust on Monday 28th February 2011. This is the rearranged match from last November which was cancelled due to the severe weather. 1st green on the Eden Course It means that Boyne has, fortunately, got the call to participate as a clash of dates last November meant he had to pull out for the first time since he began caddying at St. Andrews in 2002. I shall be partnering my old golfing companion the impressive Mr. A. Howie and our tee time is 09.12am on the Eden Course. The competition is Fourball Match Play with a total of six matches.
