October Old Course Tee Times

Image
As the daylight hours shorten all too quickly here in St. Andrews so do the available hours to golf upon the Old Course. The following 'link' to the officially published Old Course tee times for Wednesday 23rd October shows the first drive, from the 1st tee, will be struck at 08.00am and the last drive at 13.20pm. Swilken Bridge Old Course St. Andrews http://www.standrews.org.uk/Ballot/Ballot-Results?date=16/10/2013 This is still a good time to come and golf in St. Andrews and Scotland, as can be seen from the photograph taken last week the sun does shine at the Home of Golf, you take what you get and play through what is given to you. The prices on the Old Course drop by 50 British Pounds during the last couple of weeks in October and the hotels in the town offer some super stay & play packages. Old Course Ballot, Friday 22nd March

Image
Old Course St. Andrews & 2010 Open Championship A test link to the St. Andrews Links Trust new web site and the all important Ballot Results page. I generally visit this page once a day now that March has comes around and then more during the height of the golf season, checking on tee times and spaces/slots for the following two days of play on the Old Course. Good to see that tee times on the Old Course are now beginning at 07.00am and the last is at 14.40pm. The golf day is finally stretching out. These tee times are for Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd March. Click on the link above to be taken to the Ballot page on St. Andrews Links Trust web site.
The Ballot (tee times) for Wednesday's play upon the Old Course has been effected by the volcanic ash eruptions on Iceland due to airline cancellations, as can be seen with the amount of free spots available. There does not look to be any great improvement in the days ahead for people entering which means fewer caddie jobs to go round those registered caddies at St. Andrews. The other main golf courses with caddies, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Royal Troon, Turnberry etc will also be suffering.
