Lad's Scotland Highland and St Andrews Golf Tour

We have just completed this wonderful Highland and St Andrews Golf Tour for our client Mr C and his Lad's Golf Party when they are over from Washington, USA, in July 2016.

Mr C will arrive first for a 3 day mini Highland Golf Tour before meeting with his four friends at Fraserburgh Golf Course in the North East of Scotland. We pick up Mr C at Glasgow Airport and transfer to Highlands and the first stage of his 10 days of Scottish links golf...

  • 16th July - am Brora GC enjoying 125 years since a James Braid redesign. It is played alongside a beautiful deserted beach and the majestic Sutherland Hills
  • 16th July - pm Royal Dornoch GC marks 400 years in 2016. Present layout by Old Tom Morris in 1886 and he produced what is described as the most natural golf course in the world
  • 17th July - am Castle Stuart celebrates return of 2016 Scottish Open last played and won here in 2013 by Phil Mickleson

We are staying for a couple of nights at the refurbished Eagle Hotel in the lovely Highland village Dornoch then one evening in superior Strathness Guest House in the city of Inverness after our Castle Stuart round.

The 4 Lads arrive at Glasgow and transfer to the Highlands of Scotland to meet Mr C at the little known Fraserburgh Golf Course. A favourite of Caddie Golf Tours it is recognized as one of the oldest golf clubs in the world, established circa 1777, a great beginning for the whole Golf Party.

  • 19th July - am Royal Aberdeen GC Justin Rose won 2014 Scottish Open here. Golf writer Sam McKinlay wrote "There are few courses in these islands with a better, more testing, more picturesque outward nine than Balgownie (Royal Aberdeen)." 
  • 19th July - pm Cruden Bay GC an inspiring golf links. Nothing can prepare the first time golf visitor for the quirkiness and charm of Cruden Bay
  • 20th July - pm Panmure GC an outstanding links course. In 1953 Ben Hogan practised here for 2 weeks before his triumph in The Open at Carnoustie a few miles up the road.

During this tour stage the Lad's Golf Party will stay for two nights at the delightful Kilmarnock Arms Hotel situated in the small town of Cruden Bay, only 25 miles south of Fraserburgh and 23 miles north of Aberdeen.

The 85 mile journey south to golf at Panmure GC will take 2 hours. A good lunch in the comfortable clubhouse and then golf on a pure links golf course. Their rounds should be completed by 6:00pm and we will have the transporter ready to take the golfers to the final destination, St Andrews.

The Lad's have decide to stay in the privately secured Albany Apartments in the historic area of St Andrews only a couple of minutes from the first tee on the Old Course and the town centre is just around the corner, in the opposite direction, with a multitude of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops to enjoy.

Access to the Old Course St Andrews will be through the local Ballot system where, at this time of year, close to 40% of the tee times are made available to visiting golfers who have not booked an advance tee time. We will apply for the Old Course on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July.

While the Lad's wait for the opportunity to golf on the Old Course they will take advantage of the St Andrews 3 Day Ticket which allows unlimited golf on the other St Andrews golf courses on 3 days over a seven day period, a great deal for £ 200 British Pounds or $ 285. The 2016 Old Course green fee is £ 175 British Pounds or $ 250 will be paid directly to Starter upon success in the Ballot.

Mr C's 10 day Highland and St Andrews Golf Tour with at least 13 golf rounds, transfers and his accommodation will amount to £ 2260 British Pounds or $ 3230 Dollars. The Old Course green fee paid when in St Andrews.

The Lad's 7 day Highland and St Andrews Golf Tour with at least 9 golf rounds, transfers and their accommodation will amount to £ 1560  British Pounds or $ 2230  Dollars. The Old Course green fee paid when in St Andrews.
